Behind the Scenes

Project STEAM began as a small club at a high school that wanted to raise STEAM awareness in local elementary and middle schools. One of our main projects is STEMinism. Through STEMinism, we connected young elementary and middle school girls with successful women in the STEM field. After deciding that we wanted to create a global impact, we became an official incorporation which is currently pending nonprofit status. Also, we are partnered with major Ecuador NGO Fundación para la Educación y el Voluntariado Internacional (FEVI). based in Lumibisi, Ecuador. Now, we have completed our first mission trip, where we taught 70 students ranging from ages 12-18. We are continuing our partnership with FEVI and have 2 mission trips planned for 2018 during Summer and Thanksgiving Break.
