In the science station, the students learned how to use the microscopes and the difference between plant and animal cells by looking at onion, cheek, and hair cells. In the technology station, the students played with language learning apps, such as Duo Lingo, and learned how to do simple coding. In the math station, the students practiced their math skills during a fun game of bingo. At the end of the session, each student received a certificate of STEAM excellence. We asked the students what their favorite part was and what they learned. One student, Anthony, said he learned how to observe cells through a microscope. Another studetn, Maria THeresa said she found a way to learn a new language through DUo Lingo. A third student claimed she enjoyed learning and playing bingo. We were thanked multiple times by both teachers and studen who were very grateful for our time and effort, and we were grateful for their cooperation.
